As a free consumer you have the right to choose your electricity supplier. Akımer Enerji offers separate tariffs for residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural irrigation customers.
Tariff options
- Fixed price (12 or 24 months): the energy charge does not change during the contract; for homes and businesses that want to plan a budget.
- Indexed (day-ahead price plus margin): the unit price is set every month from the market clearing price, giving an advantage when the market falls. Suitable for industrial sites.
- Green tariff: your consumption is linked to renewable sources with a YEK-G certificate.
What stays the same?
The meter, the grid, fault and outage service stay with your distribution company. The distribution charge on the bill is also the same for all suppliers; the saving comes from the difference in the energy charge.

Frequently asked questions
Will my power go off if I change supplier?
No. Changing supplier needs no physical work; the meter and grid stay the same. The power continues without interruption.
Whom should I call in a fault or outage?
Faults, outages and grid work are independent of the supplier; call the fault line of the distribution company in your region (186). The Akımer Enerji call centre handles bill and tariff questions.
How do I find out whether I am a free consumer?
The regulator announces the free-consumer limit every year. If your last 12 months of consumption exceed that limit you are a free consumer. You can take our eligibility test or ask our representative with your installation number. Final eligibility is determined from the distribution company's records.
How many days from application to switch?
Usually 7 - 15 days if your documents are complete. The switch happens at the start of the next billing period. You can follow the process step by step in the customer portal.
Which item on my bill will change?
Only the energy charge (TRY/kWh) varies by supplier. The distribution charge, taxes and funds and VAT are the same for all suppliers.
